Gets most of her ah-ha ideas when she’s on the beach reading a good book.
Stephanie Kruse opened her firm in June 1991 and is the lead communication and marketing strategist and account director for all of KPS3’s clients. She brings more than 30 years of extensive marketing, public relations and advertising management experience to the agency and works with clients ranging from Nevada Health Link to Dickson Realty to Solano Community College.
Stephanie received her M.B.A. in marketing and organizational strategy from the University of Nevada in 1991, has a B.A. in journalism/theater and is a retired registered nurse. These three distinct facets of her educational and professional background each helped shape Stephanie as a strong (and wicked strategic) marketing and public relations leader. From nursing, Stephanie developed a keen sense of human psychology; from journalism, she learned how to effectively communicate with a specific audience; and earning her M.B.A. gave her a structure and framework for shaping solutions for her clients.
Stephanie grew up with a mother who emphasized the importance of giving back to the community — a lesson that sticks with her to this day. KPS3 regularly donates time and services to nonprofits ranging from the Committee to Aid Abused Women to The Children’s Cabinet to the Truckee Meadows Healthy Communities. Stephanie also currently serves on the boards of the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN), Access to Healthcare Network and High Sierra Industries. Her recognitions are extensive and range from the Reno Advertising Club’s “Ad Person of the Year” award, to Reno Women in Advertising’s “Ad Woman of the Year,” to the 2014 Silver Stevie Award for Female Entrepreneur of the Year.
For inspiration, Stephanie takes to the sunny shores of Lake Tahoe with a glass of bubbly in one hand and a pen and paper in the other. Nothing fuels Stephanie more than seeing the KPS3 crew get a good, solid win — whether in the form of powerful creative, effective article placement or a successful in-house cook-off (usually in the form of KPS3’s annual crockpot competition).
