Every year, Parker Samuelson hosts a pickleball tournament, which tells you two things: She loves spending time outdoors and finds any opportunity to rally people around a good time. Connecting communities is both her hobby and her job.
Parker got her bachelor’s in journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she served as ASUN’s director of campus wellness and chief of staff. She carried that community-first streak beyond campus, too, giving her time to the Reno-Tahoe Young Professionals Network and the Nevada Women’s Fund. From there, Parker headed to K. Sutherland PR and grew into a public relations account executive. She had the chance to travel across the country for clients in the travel and pet industries, conquering her fear of flying along the way.
In 2026, Parker joined the team as one of our PR managers. Her sure-footedness is not only helpful on the court (or hiking trails or on a yoga mat), but also when it comes to navigating media waves. She centers herself by replaying the words her family gave her: Fight it cool.
That steadiness comes from paying attention. She can intuitively read what a moment needs, meaning she can lift the vibes when they’re dipping or meet a wild crowd with a zen calm. What can we say? She’s an empath through and through.
