Tyrell Smith is your classic soccer dad: wrangling all five of his kids before school, before sports practices and games, and before bed. His wife—who is also his 6 a.m. workout partner—helps a ton, too. Fatherhood has only grown his skills at balancing priorities, anticipating needs, and negotiating.
After all, if you can keep five kids’ schedules straight, a diverse client roster is way manageable.
Tyrell took the scenic route to agency life. After earning his BBA from Dakota State, he spent years bartending, coaching, and freelancing for friends and family, quietly building up his skillset. At 10 Torr, he got his hands on everything from graphic design to content creation. Later, at Pinecrest Construction, he built the marketing department from the ground up.
The jump to agency life in 2026 was a natural progression, especially if you know Tyrell’s life motto: “Get comfortable being uncomfortable.” Experience in face-to-face sales pushed him outside his comfort zone, sharpening the relationship skills he brings to clients today. He works hard to learn something new, solve a problem, and support the team.
Then again, anyone who played four years of collegiate football already knows that the only way through a hard problem is straight at it.
