Nicole Shearer Joins Us as Public Relations Director

KPS3, a full-service marketing and digital communications firm, has hired communications veteran Nicole Shearer as public relations director.

Shearer brings nearly two decades of public relations experience to KPS3. As public relations director, Shearer will work with clients to refine and perfect their public relations strategies. She will assist with every facet of strategic communications -- from media relations to social media, crisis management and content creation.

Before joining the KPS3 team, Shearer spent eight years at the University of Nevada, Reno where she helped advance strategic priorities through communications initiatives in support of The College of Businesses, Student Services and University Police Services. Before her time at the University, Shearer honed her communications skills at Renown Health and Northstar-at-Tahoe.

“Nicole brings a wealth of communications expertise to KPS3,” said Chrisie Yabu, vice president of public relations at KPS3. “She will help us elevate our PR and communications strategies to ensure they create meaningful and impactful results for our clients.”

Originally from California, Shearer moved to Reno for college and graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Nevada. When Shearer isn’t thinking up ways to tell an interesting or relevant story, planning clever social media engagement strategies, or developing plans for maximum client exposure, she can be found camping, hiking or skiing in the mountains.
