Believes outdoor time is the best time

Elaine Morrison loves a “hell yeah!” moment.

At work, this rush often comes after she finds trends in the data and tests big ideas based on the numbers. During her time at University of Washington, Elaine was in charge of the Senior Class Gift campaign. Its theme in 2017 was sustainability, which is why she persuaded leadership to save some trees and transition to a social media campaign. The university had the most donors that year and never went back to direct mail for that audience.

She experienced plenty of awesome moments throughout her career, especially her time at Amazon Web Services (AWS) where she worked before KPS3. Also some “oh no” ones. It’s part of the gig when you work in marketing—but Elaine never shies away from a challenge. (Is it because her high school teacher said her spirit animal was a phoenix and they’re the embodiment of resilience? Hell yeah.)

Speaking of pushing her limits, Elaine feels most like herself when she’s blazing a new trail or shredding the slopes. She loves spending time in nature. One of her biggest personal accomplishments to date is coming in second at the Mammoth Trail Fest 26k. It was her largest competition since high school. In fact, she had no idea where she was in the pack until half a mile from the finish line.

With Elaine as one of our directors of growth, we know there will be plenty of “hell yeah” moments. (And probably a lot of walking meetings. Gotta get the blood and creative juices flowing!)
