A lover of brunch, snail mail, and all-things letterpress.
Rachel joined our team in 2016, bringing with her over a decade of diverse experience in strategic communications. As a senior account director, Rachel ensures our clients’ projects are on budget, on deadline and on target. When she’s not roaming around the KPS3 offices communicating with clients and keeping our crew on track, you can find her roaming around Tahoe or Yosemite—she prefers mountain lakes over the ocean any day of the week.
Rachel earned her B.A. in journalism with an emphasis in advertising from the University of Nevada in 2003. Shortly after graduation, she accepted a position as a marketing consultant with Wells Fargo Bank. Over the next eight years with the company, Rachel sharpened her communications skills and simultaneously made her way up the ranks—all the way to vice president and strategy consultant in 2012. In 2015, Rachel made the switch to Career Girl Daily, an award-winning online magazine aimed at young, career-minded women. As one of its contributing writers, she published weekly topical articles and career-guidance pieces that targeted ‘twenty-something’ women in both the U.S. and the U.K. She later founded her own lifestyle blog in 2015—Recovering Corporate, a space where she documents life beyond the 9 to 5 in order to connect with and inspire working mothers both locally and nationally.
Raised in northern California, Rachel’s very first job was at a burrito shop—and she humbly carries the customer-service skills she learned there with her today (worth noting: she still very much enjoys a good burrito). Rachel now resides in Reno with her husband, her two daughters and her dog, Oaks, who was aptly named in the spirit of her favorite northern California trees. She never underestimates the power of a great pen and a dry cappuccino—you can usually find both on Rachel’s KPS3 desk at any given time.
